Site analytics. This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand traffic and which content resonates. That means standard pageview data, one interaction event (clicking the podcast link), an approximate location derived from your IP address, general device and browser information, and Google Analytics' own first-party cookies. Google Signals is turned off on this property, so this data is never linked to Google ad accounts, cross-device advertising identifiers, or ads personalization — it stays analytics-only.
Newsletter signup. If you subscribe using the sign-up form on this site, the email address you enter is collected and stored by beehiiv, our email newsletter provider, not by us directly. Once you're subscribed, beehiiv tracks whether you open or click links in the emails we send, so we can see which issues are useful. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
The cookies on this site come from the two tools above: Google Analytics sets cookies to recognize repeat visits, and beehiiv sets cookies through the embedded signup form when you interact with it. That's the full list — there's nothing else placing cookies on this site.
We rely on a small number of outside services to run this site: Google Analytics for traffic analytics, beehiiv for newsletter delivery and subscriber management, and Vercel for hosting. Each has its own privacy practices governing the data they process on our behalf.
This site is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
You can browse this site without subscribing to anything. If you do subscribe, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Most browsers let you block or clear analytics cookies if you'd rather not be counted in our traffic numbers.
