BOLO Trends is a media brand for resellers, building one of the biggest databases of what resale buyers actually search for: 6,000+ keywords and growing. It publishes a free weekly newsletter and free BOLO lists. It's built by Mmuso, a data analyst with 11 years of experience and a reseller since 2016.
Candy and gum were banned at my junior high. There was a convenience store right next door, so the brave kids snuck it in. The kids who wouldn't risk it? They bought from me. Now and Laters, Juicy Fruit, all the classics.
My first real flip came in 2016. I sold my studio monitors on Craigslist so I could upgrade, then bought the pair I actually wanted from another seller. After that it was mostly hard goods. Faucets, art and home finds from Habitat for Humanity ReStore and garage sales.
A vintage early 90s Kohler faucet. White and gold, new in the box, no name on it anywhere. Google Lens told me what it was.
I had a feeling nobody else would buy it, and ReStore marks things down. So I waited. I checked on it every week. The day it hit 75% off, I bought it.
That was 2019. Weird wins are still wins.
Early 2026. I was in my living room, joking about "coastal cowgirl." Resellers were putting it in every title. I wondered if buyers actually searched it, or if it was just reseller slang.
I've spent 11 years using data to help businesses grow, finding the opportunities hidden in a sea of numbers. Five of those years were in digital growth marketing. So I did what I'd do at work. I checked Google search data.
That's when it clicked. Every resale platform is a search engine. Buyers type words. Listings with those words show up.
You don't decide what sells. The search bar does.
Resellers say BOLO for "Be On The LookOut." But most BOLO lists are one-in-a-million grails you'll never see at the bins. To me, a BOLO is whatever buyers are searching for right now. That shifts every month, so it has to be tracked. More on what BOLO means.
My first call that came true was kitten heels. I posted the video on March 21. The next day, a reseller told me theirs sold. I wanted to shout it from the rooftops, so I made more videos instead.
I get calls wrong too. In July I called Patagonia windbreakers too early. Google search data showed demand drop from 14,800 to 1,900 the very next month. I said so in the newsletter. Now a spike has to prove it can hold before I call it.
My favorite messages have a lot of exclamation points. Usually it's a title change that sold something in under 24 hours, after the seller had given up on it. Someone once told me I'm their favorite creator. Not favorite reselling creator. Favorite, period. That one stuck.
The side hustler who can't afford to guess when sourcing. The one who hates the titles AI writes but doesn't have a better option. That's who I build every BOLO list for.
I'm a bin rat. The Goodwill bins are my happy place. I never walk past good outdoor gear. I love it myself, so I can spot quality and knockoffs fast.
More livestreams. A bigger, better newsletter. I live for the messages that say a strategy worked, so tell me what data would help you most. Reply to any newsletter, or email bolo@bolotrends.com.
Think like your buyer. Your title is your billboard. Occasion keywords are one of the easiest ways to put it in front of more buyers.
